The Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Special Needs and Equal Opportunities, Hon. Mohammed Abba Isa, has commended Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, for including Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in the All Progressives Congress (APC) State Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Abba Isa described the governor’s decision as a demonstration of visionary leadership and commitment to inclusive governance, equity, fairness and equal political participation.
In a letter of appreciation to the governor, the presidential aide said the inclusion of PWDs in the state campaign structure aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu, which prioritises inclusivity, empowerment and equal opportunities for all Nigerians.

He particularly expressed gratitude to Buni for appointing him as Secretary of the PWDs Wing of the Yobe State APC Campaign Council, describing the recognition as a reflection of the governor’s confidence in his experience and commitment to advancing disability rights and political participation.
According to him, the governor’s gesture has provided Persons with Disabilities with an important platform to contribute meaningfully to the political process and the electoral fortunes of the ruling party.
He also commended Buni for supporting President Tinubu’s administration and contributing to the advancement of the Renewed Hope Agenda, noting that the inclusion of PWDs would strengthen efforts to mobilise all segments of society for the APC’s success.
The presidential aide congratulated the Director, Co-Director, Secretary and other members of the PWDs Wing on their appointments, urging them to regard the opportunity as both a privilege and a responsibility.
He charged the newly appointed members to demonstrate commitment, unity, dedication and hard work by taking the campaign to the grassroots, engaging disability clusters and organisations across Yobe State and mobilising eligible voters.
Abba Isa further urged them to work collectively towards securing the re-election of President Tinubu in 2027 and ensuring the electoral success of all APC candidates in the state.
He expressed confidence that, with the continued guidance and support of Governor Buni, the PWDs Wing would effectively discharge its responsibilities and become a model for disability inclusion in political mobilisation and democratic participation.
The presidential aide reiterated his appreciation to the governor, describing the inclusion of PWDs in the campaign council as a commendable step towards strengthening their representation and participation in Nigeria’s democratic process.
