2027: Presidential Aide Abba Isa Congratulates President Tinubu for Winning APC presidential ticket

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Special Needs and Equal Opportunities, Hon. Mohammed Abba Isa, on behalf of the over 35 million community of Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) in Nigeria, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his emergence as the presidential flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 general election.

According to the result announced on Sunday, President Tinubu secured a total of 10,999,967 votes to defeat his challenger, Mr. Stanley Osifo, who polled 16,504 votes at the APC presidential primary election.

Declaring the results, former President of the Senate, Pius Anyim stated that over 12 million party members registered for the exercise, while about 11 million voters were accredited to participate in the nationwide primary election.

He further disclosed that the exercise was conducted across the 8,809 wards, 774 local government areas, the 36 states of the federation, and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

Hon. Abba Isa represented the PWD community at the collation and official announcement of the presidential primary election results held on Sunday.

The event witnessed the presence of several prominent political figures, including former and incumbent governors from states such as Niger, Bayelsa, Ondo, Ogun, Kwara, Kogi, Rivers, Plateau, Imo, and Yobe, among others.

Also in attendance were members of the national leadership of the ruling party led by the APC National Chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda; former Senate Presidents, Ken Nnamani and Pius Anyim; as well as former governors including Yahaya Bello, Gbenga Oyetola, and Ali Modu Sheriff as well as Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters, Ibrahim Masari.

Several members of the National Assembly, led by principal officers of both chambers, were equally present at the event.

Speaking after the declaration of results, Hon. Abba Isa congratulated President Tinubu on the victory, describing it as a reflection of the confidence and trust reposed in his leadership by members of the ruling party.

He stated that the over 35 million PWD community across Nigeria remains committed to supporting President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and would mobilize massively towards ensuring his re-election in 2027.

The Presidential aide also used the occasion to engage with governors, ministers, and other stakeholders present at the event, appreciating them for their continued support for the Renewed Hope Agenda of the President.

He further commended state governors for the various interventions and inclusive policies being implemented in support of Persons With Disabilities in their respective states.
