SSAP Abba Isa Celebrates Workers with Disabilities on International Workers Day

Senior Special Assistant to the President on Special Needs and Equal Opportunities, has extended his heartfelt greetings and commendations to all workers, especially those with disabilities, on the auspicious occasion of International Workers Day 2024.

In a statement to commemorate the day, Hon. Abba Isa noted that workers with disabilities in particular, have contributed tirelessly and immensely to the nation’s progress and prosperity over the years.

As celebrations continue, the investiture of Hon. Abba Isa and his counterparts stands as a beacon of inspiration, reinforcing the 

Hon. Abba Isa’s statement comes hours after he was invested alongside seven other distinguished individuals, as a Fellow of the Occupational Safety and Health Association UK (OSHAssociation UK) for his remarkable commitment to promoting and fostering safer and more inclusive workplaces and work environments for all workers across the globe.

 The Senior presidential aide maintained that under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, his office  has recorded  remarkable achievements in creating inclusive work environments and fostering equal opportunities for individuals with disabilities. 

The SSAP added that through collaborative efforts and unwavering dedication, “we have been able to break down barriers and empower countless individuals to thrive in the workforce.”

Hon. Abba Isa acknowledged the visionary leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whose administration, he noted  has demonstrated unparalleled commitment to the welfare and well-being of persons with disabilities. 

“Under the Renewed Hope Agenda, we have witnessed unprecedented strides towards ensuring that every citizen, regardless of ability, has the chance to fulfill their potential and contribute meaningfully to society.

“As we celebrate the achievements of workers with disabilities today, let us reaffirm our commitment to building a more inclusive and equitable society where everyone has the opportunity to succeed. Together, let us continue to champion the rights and dignity of all workers, paving the way for a brighter and more prosperous future for generations to come,” the presidential aide stated.
