The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Special Needs and Equal Opportunities, Hon. Mohammed Abba Isa, has reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration to initiatives that promote the training and empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) and individuals with special needs.

Hon. Abba Isa made this known during the launch of the 9ja Food Fiesta free training program for 2,000 youths, women, and persons with disabilities in Katsina State.

The initiative, organized in partnership with the Katsina State Ministry of Women Affairs and supported by the First Lady, Hajiya Zulaihat Abdullahi Dikko, aims to provide participants with vital skills across several sectors.

Represented at the event by Comrade Dahiru Gambo Rafindadi, APC PWD Leader in Katsina State and National Coordinator of the APC State and Zonal PWD Leaders Forum, Hon. Abba Isa congratulated the organizers, participants, and beneficiaries on the successful launch of the impactful initiative.

He commended the organizers for ensuring the program was inclusive, noting that unlike many others, this initiative thoughtfully included persons with disabilities and individuals with special needs in both planning and implementation.

Hon. Abba Isa also extended special appreciation to the collaborators, sponsors, and partners—especially the Katsina State Ministry of Women Affairs—for their vital role in making the initiative a success.

He emphasized his total commitment to supporting inclusive programs such as this, describing such efforts as essential and non-negotiable in achieving equal opportunities for all.

9ja Food Fiesta is a non-governmental organization committed to empowering 2,000 individuals in Katsina State through vocational training in various fields, including fashion design, agriculture (fishery and poultry), culinary arts, and information and communication technology (ICT)—covering website and graphics design, data processing, and other ICT-related skills.
