The Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has been commended by a notable community and political leader in Ondo State, Architect Tunde Imolehin, for his statemanly conduct since assumption of office as the Governor of the Sunshine State owing to the sad demise of his predecessor,Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu.

In his media release tagged “The Night Shows the Morning”, Imolehin, who is a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress said “No one could have believed that this was the same state that was almost thrown into a serious crisis owing to the ill-heath of the former governor. A new Governor has been sworn in and peace has returned. The conduct of Governor Aiyedatiwa, since December 27, 2023, has been remarkable and statemanly. If it is indeed true that the night shows what the morning will be or look like, Ondo State is in good and safe hands”

The renowned Environmentalist and Sustainability Expert went further to congratulate the Governor for bringing party stakeholders together in a fashion never before experienced. “Our party in Ondo State, has been unwell despite being in control of government. Many party stakeholders are either chased out or grossly alienated. No true sense of belonging. The effort of Governor Aiyedatiwa to bring hope to many and peace to our party again is highly commendable. I am happy that the event on Monday was a huge success despite the short notice given”

On the issue of appointing a deputy governor by the Governor, the Ipele-Owo- born technocrat and immediate past Special Adviser to the FCT Minister on Environment and Waste Management said there is no need to stampede the Governor
“the constitution does not give a time frame for the appointment of a deputy governor. Let the man breathe. He will do the needful”

On whether it is right for the Governor to start pursuing a political ambition having just been in office for less than four weeks, Imolehin said “Governor Aiyedatiwa has what it takes to be Governor of Ondo State. Capacity, loyalty, faith, luck and destiny have entrusted the position to him now and if it is the will of God and I do pray, he will come back through the ballot. And already, plans to achieve this mission have begun in earnest”
