The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Special Needs and Equal Opportunities, Hon. Mohammed Abba Isa, on Tuesday, paid a courtesy visit to the Honourable Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande Wisdom, where he presented a comprehensive report on the Federal Government’s commitment to disability inclusion in Nigeria.
During the meeting, both officials exchanged pleasantries and rekindled old acquaintances, reaffirming their shared dedication to advancing the welfare of Nigerian youths, particularly those with disabilities.

Discussions at the meeting centered on the future of Nigerian youths with disabilities, emphasizing the need for greater inclusion in national policies and programs. A key focus was the upcoming National Youth Conference, where the role and participation of young persons with disabilities were highlighted as crucial to fostering a truly inclusive dialogue on youth development.
Hon. Abba Isa commended the Minister of Youth Development for his efforts in championing initiatives that empower young people across the country. He also praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his administration’s commitment to youth-friendly and inclusive policies that ensure no segment of society is left behind.
The high point of the visit was the official presentation of a document titled Nigeria’s Commitment to Disability Inclusion: 2024 Progress and Initiatives Report. Compiled by the Office of the SSA to the President on Special Needs and Equal Opportunities, the report outlines the strides made by the Federal Government in promoting disability inclusion, as well as ongoing and future initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of life for persons with disabilities in Nigeria.

The Senior presidential aide reiterated his office’s dedication to working with the Ministry of Youth Development to mainstream disability inclusion in youth policies, ensuring that young persons with disabilities are actively involved in shaping national development.
In his remarks, the Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, reaffirmed his commitment to inclusion and equal opportunities for youths with disabilities.
He pledged to collaborate with various segments of society to advance the inclusion objectives of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, ensuring that all young Nigerians, regardless of ability, have access to opportunities for growth and development.
