Senior Special Assistant to the President on Special Needs and Equal Opportunities, Hon Mohammed Abba Isa, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Lois Auta-Udonkanta, President and Founder of the Network of Women with Disabilities (NWD), on her remarkable selection as one of the 12 Global Professionals choosen to serve on the Inter-Agency Steering Committee (IASC) Protection from Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment (PSEAH) Championship Women Advisory Group.
In a statement by his Director Media and Communications, Lanre Oloyede, the Senior presidential aide maintained that Auta-Udonkanta’s appointment, which followed a rigorous and highly competitive process with over 300 global experts, is a testament to her impressive track record and unyielding commitment to advocating for the rights of women and persons with disabilities.
Hon. Abba Isa stressed that this achievement is not only a personal victory but a historic moment for Africa, as she proudly represent the continent and stand as the only woman with a disability in this distinguished group.
The SSAP mentioned that the Presidency acknowledges her pivotal role in advancing the cause of disability inclusion and women’s empowerment, adding that her leadership, through both the Network of Women with Disabilities and the Cedarseed Foundation, has made significant strides in amplifying the voices of marginalized communities, inspiring many to follow your path of humanitarian service.
