SSAP Abba Isa Congratulates Alhaji Saleh Abubakar on Appointment as DG NAGGW

Senior Special Assistant to the President on Special Needs and Equal Opportunities, Hon Mohammed Abba Isa, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Alhaji Saleh Abubakar on his recent appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the Director General of the National Agency for the Great Green Wall (NAGGW). 

Alhaji Abubakar was a former Yobe State Head of Service and a seasoned administrator.

He was the Director of Inter-Action Initiatives for Community Development Borno state and holds a Master’s degree in Disaster Risks Management and Development Studies from the University of Maiduguri.

In a congratulatory statement issued Saturday, Hon. Abba Isa described Abubakar’s appointment as a well-deserved recognition of his extensive experience and outstanding leadership in public administration.

The Senior presidential aide stated that Abubakar’s distinguished tenure as the Yobe State Head of Service has showcased his remarkable capabilities as a seasoned administrator, adding that his wealth of experience and profound understanding of the complexities of governance will undoubtedly serve as invaluable assets in his new role.

The SSAP said: “The mandate of the NAGGW to combat desertification and promote sustainable development in Nigeria’s drylands is of paramount importance to our nation’s environmental and socio-economic future. Your appointment comes at a critical time when building on the foundation and consolidating the achievements of your predecessor is essential. I have every confidence that under your guidance, the agency will achieve new milestones and further its mission with renewed vigor and strategic insight.

“As you embark on this significant journey, please be assured of my full support and that of the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Special Needs and Equal Opportunities. I look forward to witnessing the positive impact of your leadership on the sustainable development of our nation’s drylands.
