Amidst call for resignation of the National Security Adviser (NSA), Mr Nuhu Ribadu, security expert, Chief Jackson Lekan-Ojo, has dismissed the insinuations that he is weak and unfit to provide sound security intelligence to president Bola Ahmed Tinubu to curb raging banditry and kidnappings in Nigeria.

In a chat with newsmen, Chief Lekan-Ojo said Ribadu is the best qualified person for the job having attained the level of former EFCC chairman amidst other positions throughout his career.

He described Ribadu as a no nonsense person who is active in providing security intelligence to Mr President.

“Ribadu in all ramifications is more qualified than others. He is very effective, he’s not a noise makers like others.

“Recall that as EFCC chairman, the fear of Ribadu was and still the beginning of wisdom for some people. When you talk of intelligence gathering, he’s a super intelligent officer .

“To me Ribadu as the NSA, I don’t think his duty is to go to war, or carry rifle to fight banditiary. His work is very strategic on how to advice Mr President on what to do and how to do it. And I believe Ribadu is trying his best in this regard.

On providing lasting solutions to the security situation in the country, the security expert said what the government need to do is rejig the military and paramilitary apparatus.

“Some people have to give way, for some people to come in”, Chief Lekan-Ojo said.
