Kwara State chapter of the Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities, JONAPWD, has extended it’s heartfelt congratulations and felicitations to the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Disability Matters, Hon. Mohammed Abba Issa, for being honoured with The United States President Joe Biden’s President’s Volunteer Service Multiple Awards in recognition of his unparalleled contributions to Disablity and Women inclusion advocacy nationally and internationally.
In a congratulatory statement issued Thursday, the Chairman, Kwara State JONAPWD, Comrade Yusuf Bashir, noted that the award is a testimony of service to humanity by the Senior Presidential aide, adding that it was an honour well deserved.
Comrade Bashir also prayed for more success in the daily activities of Hon. Abba Isa.
Recall that Hon. Abba Isa was recently honoured wth The United States President Joe Biden’s President’s Volunteer Service Multiple Awards in recognition of his unparalleled contributions to Disablity and Women inclusion advocacy nationally and internationally.
The SSAP also bagged a Lifetime Multiple Great Achievements & Legacies Award as Disability/Women Inclusive Global Advocate, Icon, Legend & Champion of Nigeria’s Barriers Breakers of SDGs, 2030 Agenda Heroes & Men of Distinctions.
The Awards, which was presented by Equal Rights for Persons With Disabilities International Inc and FESTAC-USA Inc, was given in commemoration of the 5th year Anniversary of signing into law of the Discrimimation Against Persons with Disabitities (Prohibition)} Act 2018 which comes up on January 23, 2024.
According to the organizers of the Awards, the Senior Presidential aide was chosen for the honours in recognition of his Lifetime, Peacebuilding, multiple excellent, positive, achievements and Legacies made, while voluntarily advocating in collaboration with the organization nationally and Internationally to fully protect & promote the rights, equality and dignity of over 1.3 Billion persons with disabilities worlwide.
