JPEMI Pastor tasks world leaders on peace, security
By Lanre Oloyede
Renowned Leadership Development Expert and Lead Pastor of Jesus Praise Evangelical Ministry International, JPEMI, Dr. Femi Lanre-Oke, has challenged world leaders to promote peace, security and diffuse tensions triggering disunity and disharmony amongst citizens.
The renowned cleric gave the charge in an interview with Pigonews.com on the sideline of the church’s fifth annual convention, themed “Greater Works”, held in Abuja.
Dr. Lanre-Oke alluded that the current global conflict and wars can only be addressed if leaders imbibed the virtues of Jesus Christ as regards love, peace and reconciliation .
While submitting that Nigeria is not the only country experiencing insecurity, he  noted that the current armed conflict between Israel and Hamas was an avenue for leaders to strategise towards reconciliation.
The JPEMI Lead Pastor siad: “We are concerned. Blessed are the peacemakers, they shall be called the children of God. We love peace and we want them to reconcile and we are praying that God will intervene.
“We pray that God touches those who need to take decisions so that they will know what to do and how to do it,” he said.
While emphasising on the need to love and forgive, the cleric admonished Christians and others to unite towards tackling issues of insecurity and kidnapping, among others, in Nigeria.
“By the time we come into the greater works of Jesus, there will be relative peace, insecurity, kidnapping will reduce.
“We cannot say everything will go, but it will reduce drastically and development will be very visible.
“We will love our neighbours, bring solutions to our neighbours and destroy the works of darkness”.
He added that the conference was an opportunity for the word of God to be fulfilled and manifested in the lives of people, as many prayers and miracles were experienced.
Pigonews.com gathered that this year’s convention with the theme ‘Greater Works’, marked the 7th year that the church arm of the ministry was established.
