In a heartwarming gesture of gratitude and partnership, Hajiya Rabiatu Umar Saidu, the founder of Sarauniya Charity Foundation, has dedicated her Sir Amadu Bello Memorial Foundation Distinguished Merit Award to Hon. Mohammed Abba Isa, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Special Needs and Equal Opportunities.
The award was presented to Hon. Abba Isa in a brief ceremony held at his office, where Hajiya Rabiatu Umar Saidu expressed her desire to establish a partnership between her foundation and the office of the SSA to the President on Special Needs and Equal Opportunities.

This partnership aims to further empower less privileged individuals, including Persons With Disabilities.
Through her foundation, Hajiya Rabiatu Umar Saidu has for a decade been tirelessly working to make a difference in the lives of those in need including orphans, widows, and internally displaced persons, particularly in the North, which has been severely affected by the Boko Haram insurgency.

Her selfless service and commitment to humanity have earned her the prestigious Sir Amadu Bello Memorial Foundation Distinguished Merit Award. By dedicating this award to Hon. Abba Isa, she acknowledges the SSA’s dedication to promoting the rights and welfare of Persons With Disabilities and other vulnerable groups.

Hon. Abba Isa congratulated Hajiya Rabiatu Umar Saidu on her achievement and encouraged other women to follow her example. He also called on international development partners and donors to partner with the Sarauniya Charity Foundation and support its initiatives.
The Sarauniya Charity Foundation is a non-governmental and non-profit organization that focuses on helping the less privileged in society. Its charitable works include providing easy and accessible water in rural areas, distributing educational materials, and conducting free medical outreach programs.

This partnership between the Sarauniya Charity Foundation and the office of the SSA to the President on Special Needs and Equal Opportunities aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which prioritizes the welfare and empowerment of vulnerable groups. It is expected to have a significant impact on the lives of those in need and promote inclusivity and equality in society.
