Celebrations as SSAP Abba Isa,  7 Others are Invested as Fellows of OSHAssociation UK

In a momentous ceremony marked by jubilation and honor, Hon. Mohammed Abba Isa, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Special Needs and Equal Opportunities,  alongside seven other distinguished individuals, was invested as a Fellow of the Occupational Safety and Health Association UK (OSHAssociation UK).

The event, held at a prestigious conference hall of the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing, drew attention not only for the recognition bestowed upon the presidential aide but also for the collective achievements of the eight honorees. 

As a Fellow of OSHAssociation UK, Hon. Abba Isa joins a select group of professionals dedicated to promoting safety and health standards in workplaces across various industries.

The investiture ceremony was graced by notable dignitaries, government officials, industry leaders, and well-wishers who commended the commitment and contributions of the newly invested Fellows. 

Amidst applause and accolades, SSAP Abba Isa expressed gratitude for the honor bestowed upon him, and emphasized the importance of fostering inclusive environments and equal opportunities for all.

The Senior presidential aide acknowledged the importance of promoting a safe and healthy working environment, especially for employees engaged in special needs and equal opportunities initiatives.

While reiterating his commitment to promoting and fostering a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, Hon. Abba Isa appreciated OSHA Association’s dedication to promoting occupational safety and health standards.

He expressed confidence that the investiture will spur him to contribute more significantly to the creation of awareness and implementation of best practices within the workplace, while dedicating the honour to the 35 million Nigerians with disabilities.

Recall that earlier in February, Hon. Abba Isa demonstrated exemplary leadership by leading his entire members of staff to attend a one-day workshop/sensitization program on Occupational Safety and Health organized by Occupational Safety and Health Association (OSHA Association Nigeria).

According to him, this was in compliance with the directive of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF) mandating all Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to establish Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) DESK Unit in order to provide safe, conducive and healthy work environment for their employees.

For the record, OSHA Association for Occupational Safety and Health of Nigeria (OSHA Association) is an internationally recognised professional organisation which is committed to assisting organisations achieve required standard and best practice when it comes to safety in the workplace.

Speaking on behalf of OSHAssociation UK, the Country Regional Administrator, Dr. Aliyu Mohammed Isa, highlighted the exemplary leadership and expertise demonstrated by Abba Isa and his fellow Fellows, underscoring their pivotal roles in advancing occupational safety and health practices globally.

The investiture ceremony not only symbolized personal achievements but also served as a testament to the collective efforts aimed at enhancing workplace safety standards and promoting equal opportunities for individuals of all abilities.

As celebrations continue, the investiture of Hon. Abba Isa and his counterparts stands as a beacon of inspiration, reinforcing the commitment to fostering safer and more inclusive work environments for generations to come
