6th JPEMI Convention: Expect A Shift, A Lift, A Major Transformation Experience – Dr. Femi Lanre-Oke

By Lanre Oloyede

The Senior Pastor and Visioneer of Jesus Praise Evangelical Ministry International (JPEMI), Pastor, Dr. Femi Lanre-Oke, has asked participants of this year’s annual convention of the church to expect a major transformation, leading to a shift and a lift in their situations as the Power of the Holy Spirit will be moving in a dimension never seen before.

Dr. Lanre-Oke, who assured that attendees would experience a significant change in their lives during the week-long event, also urged them to prepare for a transformative encounter, promising that the power of the Holy Spirit will move in unprecedented ways.

Addressing journalists at a pre-convention press briefing, the Senior Pastor emphasized the immense power of the Holy Spirit, drawing biblical references to illustrate how the Spirit’s presence has always resulted in significant change.

Underscoring the life-changing potential of the Holy Spirit’s movement, the clergy declared that “When the Spirit of the Lord visits, even dry bones become living souls.”

The theme for the 6th edition of the convention, which is set to run from October 14th to 20th, is “The Holy Spirit.”

The JPEMI visioneer described the event as “power-packed,” noting that the supernatural will be a key feature of the gathering. “When the Holy Spirit descends, the impossible becomes possible, and we are going to witness that firsthand,” he said.

A Look Back: How It All Began

Reflecting on the origin of the JPEMI convention, the Leadership Development expert recounted how the event was conceived. According to him, the first convention was held in October 2019, marking the third year of the birth of the church arm of the ministry.

The Senior Pastor noted that prior the establishment of the church arm, the ministry had been involved in outreaches, empowering widows and students, and visiting schools and hospitals. However, it was in the third week of October 2016, precisely on the 23rd that the church was officially established.

According to him, it was during the third year of the commencement of the church arm of the ministry that God instructed him to dedicate that third week of October annually to commemorate the church’s foundation. Thus, the first convention was held in October 2019 with the theme “The Anointing,” and since then, it has become a tradition to celebrate the faithfulness of God during the third week of October each year.

Convention Experiences and Testimonies

The convention has since grown into a dynamic spiritual experience, attracting ministers from various parts of the world to impart their grace upon the congregation. Dr. Lanre-Oke highlighted that each edition of the convention has brought new levels of divine encounters, with ministers coming together to release God’s word and renew covenants of faith.

“It’s been from one glory to another. We have never experienced a better last year ,” he said, adding that attendees have witnessed life-changing miracles, breakthroughs, and the release of supernatural grace.

The Inspiration Behind This Year’s Theme

According to Dr. Lanre-Oke, the theme “The Holy Spirit” was divinely revealed during a period of seeking God’s direction for the convention. He explained that the theme signals a unique set-up for an encounter with the Holy Spirit.

“When the Lord gives a focus like ‘The Holy Spirit,’ it’s a clear indication of what He plans to do,” he noted. The JPEMI founder expressed confidence that this year’s convention would stand out as a transformative experience, unlike any previous editions, as it aligns with God’s direction for a powerful move of the Spirit.

What Should Participants Expect?

The Senior Pastor encouraged participants to expect great things at the convention, highlighting how the Holy Spirit can part obstacles, provide supernatural provisions, and grant boldness to those who seek it. He drew examples from biblical accounts of the Red Sea being parted by the east wind and the miraculous provision of quails for the Israelites in the wilderness.

“You will witness a shift and a lift, because there’s no place where the Spirit of the Lord visits that doesn’t experience transformation,” he assured, urging attendees to come with expectant hearts.

The Line-Up of Ministers

The convention will feature anointed ministers, including Rev. Felix Bamirin from the United States, Evangelist E.O. Falade from Ibadan, Prophet Jacob Babalola, Pst. David Idachaba and Pastor Amos Olaosun from Abuja. Dr. Lanre-Oke and his wife, Busola Lanre-Oke, will serve as hosts, while the Holy Spirit remains the chief host of the event.

The choice of ministers was based on divine guidance, with Dr. Lanre-Oke sharing the remarkable story of how Rev. Bamirin’s participation was prophesied during last year’s convention.

He recalled: “For Rev Felix Bamirin, the prophecy about his coming came from last convention when Prophet Babalola said somebody is going to come from abroad next year. He said that person is coming from America and that we should prepare a good accommodation where the person will stay. As at that time, there was no name on my mind. Even as at January this year, there was no name until when I was in America in June that it struck my mind that this man should come for the convention. It was then I now remember a prophecy that came nine month before that time. And the Lord ministered to me also that Pst. Amos Olaosun, and Evang. E.O Falade should be part of it.”

A Week of Unmissable Encounters

Dr. Lanre-Oke advised participants not to miss any day of the seven-day convention, assuring that each day holds its unique blessings and divine encounter. “Whether it’s the first or last day, every day is crucial. The Holy Spirit will move powerfully throughout the event,” he said.

The 6th JPEMI Convention promises to be a life-changing event for all attendees, as the power of the Holy Spirit moves to shift, lift, and transform lives.
